FWESHLY INFORMATIONAL: How to Easily Clean/ Wash Your Snapback

We've all been through this at one point or another. Sure you know to wash your clothes on a regular basis (hopefully) but it's not often that one remembers to clean the piece of gear that might accompany their outfit more than anything else, their snapback.

Snapback hats don't show wear and tear for quite some time but give it a year or two and with regular wearings your snapback can range from dusty to ragged. One thing most people don't realize is that a simple wash could have your snapback looking brand spanking new.

It's so easy!

So let's say you've got your favorite Fweshly Dipped Snapback and you've been rocking it on the regular for quite some time. Getting it fwesh again is as easy as 1, 2, 3, 4.

Here's what you'll need:

How to clean your hat

1. A small bucket

2. Lukewarm/ warm water

3. Laundry Detergent

4. A sink

5. Sunshine, or someplace dry to hang

STEP 1:

The easiest of all. Fill your bucket with lukewarm/cold water and a splash of color safe laundry detergent. Let the soap mix with the water until you've got a nice blend.

STEP 2:

Take your snapback and dip your hat into the bucket of water. Mimick a washing machine's spin cycle by gently rotating the hat underwater with your hands. Use your fingers to gently scrub any hard to reach spots - pay extra attention to areas with white stitching. (These areas tend to visibly gather the most dirt and grime)

STEP 3:

This part is crucial! After a good soaking and scrubbing remove your hat from the soapy water and rinse it under a cold faucet (or in the shower) to remove any soap from your snapback.

STEP 4:

Hang your hat out to dry after you have squeezed water out of the non- buckram reinforced areas. An hour or two later you're good to go!

Rejuvenating your headwear is that easy. No need for washing machine hat guarders or whatever random maintenance gear these stores try to sell you. Just H20, some detergent, and a little bit of time and elbow grease.

Hope this little guide helps to keep you and your favorite snapbacks looking fwesh. More Fweshly Informational pieces coming soon!
